We are committed to your pets’ safety and comfort during their grooming experience, and we pay special attention to older pets as well as pets with health issues. Your pet’s safety and comfort are our first priority. We will not perform any grooming procedure that causes pain or undue stress.

Please arrive on time for your pet’s appointment. Our workflow and scheduling does not allow us to accommodate early or late drop-offs. If you arrive late for your appointment, we may need to refuse service in order to continue with a productive day.

You are required to advise us of any medical concerns, physical injuries or limitations, emotional issues, allergies, sensitivities, or pre-existing conditions. These may include prior surgeries, hip or joint issues, warts, moles, ear infections or skin problems.

If your pet has behaviour concerns, struggles with any part of the grooming process, or has ever bitten in the past, please let us know. In some cases, we may need to muzzle your pet for safety.

Owners are held liable for any bites that require medical treatment, injury to staff requiring time off of work to recover, and for any property damage caused by their pet.

We may record photo and video of your pet for the purpose of promoting our work, such as on social media. Please let us know if you’d like to be tagged!

Our prices vary for each pet and are determined by breed, size and condition of your pet at the time of each service. Additional charges may apply for any additional work required due to the pet’s condition or behavior during the service.

If your pet cannot be humanely de-matted, we may need to clip the hair short.

A matted coat can cause numerous health conditions including itching, irritation, and skin infections. Removing a heavily matted coat includes risks of nicks, cuts or abrasions due to warts, molds and skin folds trapped and hidden in the mats. Heavy matting can also trap moisture near the pet’s skin allowing fungus or bacteria to grow causing skin irritations that exist prior to the grooming process. Top Dogs and our staff are not responsible for any pre-existing conditions due to a matted coat. We do our best to achieve your desired hair style, but may need to make adjustments to account for coat type and pets’ comfort.

We require 24 hours notice to change or cancel an appointment. Repeated missed appointments will result in refusal of services.

By submiting your information and scheduling services at Top Dogs salon, you understand and agree to the above terms for the grooming and maintenance of your pet(s) and in consideration of the grooming services of Top Dogs, agree to hold harmless from damage, loss or claims arising from any known or unknown pre-existing condition of my pet(s).

The terms, special services or handling shall include but are not limited to veterinarian services in the event you are not reachable available. I authorize Top Dogs and their staff to act as my agent in the event emergency veterinarian services, care-taking and/or transportation is necessary and I agree to pay all costs. Any/all damages, loss or claim shall include, but not be limited to death, injury or shock. Said pre-existing shall include, but not be limited to illness, previous injury, skin or coat conditions, medical conditions, advanced age or nervousness.
